Arrival of Pilar! Welcome party in JACis! :)

Creative Service Centre of Eastern Latvia Youth Open Centre „JACis” start the implementation of the „Youth Partners” project within the „Youth in Action” programme. The financing of this project is being supported by European Commission. Since the 3rd of September Spanish girl Pilar Encuentra Garrido started her volunteer’s work in the „JACis”.

The story of every international volunteer starts with the writing of CV and motivation letter and looking for the host organization. So, our centre had received such letter from Pilar, containing her photo and the link of her blog of interesting and creative ideas (http://elpatiodefranky.blogspot.com/), that is possible to realize in „JACis”. We looked through the letter and... we got upset, because her candidacy was already confirmed in the Creative Service Centre of Eastern Latvia „Zeimuļs”. We wrote Pilar a letter and told her, that we can’t accept her in our centre. But we were surprised very much, when she answered, that CSCEL „Zeimuļs” had accepted... her twin sister Carmen! So, that’s how these wonderful sisters appeared in our town! 

This week girls do their first steps in volunteer’s work, meet the town and the youth of CSCEL „Zeimuļs” and Youth Open Centre „JACis”.

Young people of Rezekne will have a wonderful opportunity to meet closer the „Youth in Action” programme, learn something about the possibilities of volunteering abroad, meet Spanish culture and traditions, learn Spanish during the year, increase their communicative skills in English, participate in creative workshops and thematic events, excursions, informal education seminars, sport activities.

Children and young people of Rezekne in age from 12 until 30 years are being invited in Youth Open Centre „JACis” on working days from 14.00 until 19.30.
